GE Capital Solutions has two offices in Atlanta – Commercial Distribution Finance and Technology. Both locations are located on the northern tip of town, about 15 minutes from downtown. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, among the most common occupations in teh city were: Management, professional, and related occupations, 46 percent; Sales and office occupations, 25 percent; Service occupations, 17 percent; Production, transporation, and material moving occupations, 7 percent; and Construction, extraction, maintenance and repair occupations, 5 percent.

Seventy-nine percent of the people employed were private wage and salary workers; 14 percent were Federal, state, or local government workers; and 7 percent were self-employed in their own, not-incorporated businesses.

Commuting in the Atlanta area: Sixty-nine percent of Atlanta city workers drove to work alone in 2005, 9 percent carpooled, 12 percent took public transportation, and 5 percent used other means. The remaining 5 percent worked at home. Among those who commuted, it took them on average 26.6 minutes to get to work.
