Bonn, Germany--TIP Trailer Services, part of GE Capital Solutions Europe, was recently awarded one of the best and most innovative suppliers globally, by Deutsche Post World Net (DPWN) - the world's largest logistics company, with 500,000 employees in 220+ countries and territories.

At a ceremony in Bonn, Germany to mark its first Global Supplier Day, DPWN awarded their best 9 suppliers in several categories. GE's TIP Trailer Services was one of three winners in the category of Most Innovative Supplier.

Capital Solutions' TIP unit has been servicing DPWN's European fleet of Commercial Vehicles since 2002.  This award highlights TIP as a top service provider in the transportation and logistics industry and recognizes results achieved in quality of service, security and cost reduction.

Through TIP's FleetCare maintenance program, DPWN was able to improve the quality of service on its trailer fleet while reducing maintenance costs. Their fleet of trailers and cargos reached the highest safety standards through VeriWiseTM, a telematic tracking and tracing service from GE's Asset Intelligence.

To better understand their customers' unique needs TIP created a Customer Advisory Board (CAB) consisting of senior representatives from the transportation and logistics industry across Europe, of which DPWN is a key member.  The CAB's objective is to share best practices and constantly monitor industry trends.
